Established since 2011 in Vancouver, BC
Greenstems was born from a fascination with integrating the tranquil beauty of the natural world into indoor spaces.
The name Greenstems serves as a symbolic nod to the potential that plants possess in providing fulfillment and support when woven into our daily lives.
Proudly female owned and operated, the team at Greenstems continually draws inspiration from the captivating scenery and awe-inspiring landscapes in which we are surrounded by, such as the Pacific North West.
We seek to capture and celebrate the breathtaking beauty of our outdoor surroundings through innovative moss art creations and our installation work.
Biophilia: A Love of Life & Living Things
It is a proven theory that plants enhance people’s moods to a more calm, productive and happy state. We all have a deeply ingrained love for nature that we benefit from when embraced.
Greenstems' moss art and installation work transforms interior spaces with a symbolic nod to nature, providing all the beautiful benefits of having plant life within one's space.
SUSTAINABILITY
Our primary value is sustainability. That is practiced through the preserved plant matter we create our artwork with. It brings nature inside in an eco-friendly way that will beautifully last for years.
Once installed, the artwork does not have the typical carbon footprint live plants require with both ongoing maintenance and irrigation.
Meet Heather March, founder of Greenstems
My plant loving career started when I studied Landscape Design at Ryerson University and after having spent nearly 10 years in the industry before moving onto my passion for interior plantscaping, Greenstems was born.
The concept of vertical plant walls was always of interest to me and has evolved into exploring with the exciting and artistic ways in which to design with plants on an interior plane.
The design principles I learned throughout my career in Landscape Design naturally continues to translate into the thoughtful concepts of our beautifully handcrafted indoor moss art and installation pieces.
